House & Gardens

Stockeld Park is an elegrant, Grade-1 listed Georgian mansion that remains in private ownership.

Built in 1758-63, the house has a colourful history, from being the scene of one of the most expensive divorce scandals of the 18th century, to serving as a maternity hospital in the Second World War, and most recently sitting at the centre of a highly diversified estate that welcomes more than 250,000 visitors per year to one of England's most popular Adventure Parks.

Stockeld has been used extensively for film and television productions over the years, as well as corporate events in the house and grounds, and is open for private tours by appointment.

The Chapel

Adjoining the mansion house, Stockeld is also home to a truly beautiful private chapel.

Built in 1895 by the new owner, Robert John Foster, the chapel has been used over the years for Weddings, Christenings, concerts, carol services and as place for private reflection and prayer.

Complete with a working organ, the Chapel is available for use either on its own or together with the main house. â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹

Estate & Grounds

Beyond the mansion house, Stockeld is surrounded by a highly diversified, 2,000-acre estate.

A mixture of rolling parkland, woodland, farmland as well as one of England's largest plantations of Christmas trees, the estate serves as a beautiful backdrop to the house that is open for use for events, photoshoots, filming and more.

Adding to this is the multi-award-winning Adventure Park, one of the country's most popular family visitor attractions, which spans across 40 acres and represents Stockeld's most significant commercial enterprise.
